2010: “The Gang” worked 3,540 hours on the track
Our track construction crew is looking back on a busy 2010. Our active members have been working on the track for 3.540 hours altogether.
Highlight of the year was the reopening of the track up to Waldbroel, which was only made possible by the extensive clean-up operations of our active members.
Operations like the clean-up of the railway bridge in Denklingen are obvious, but many other rather happen unnoted: replacement of signal posts, work on bridge abutments, pruning of vegetation (also on the Morsbach branch), periodic maintenance of the switches and closing the gap in the track on the Morsbach station area - just to name a few operations.
For this the active members of our track construction crew have been working on the track in 2010 for 3.540 hours altogether - 1.000 hours more than in the preceding year! Foreman of the track construction crew - Uwe Wintersohl - awarded certificates to the most active of the active members on the anniversary celebration on January 29th for their honorary activities.
